A Culinary Empire

Thursday, June 7th, 2012

The AngkorW group of restaurants in Siem Reap are building a culinary empire in temple-town. They already boast an impressive array of restaurant options with Champey fine dining located in the Passage near the Old Market, with seating for over two hundred, Amok is next door and closeby are Cambodian BBQ and Khmer BBQ, Banana Leaf is on Pub Street and BBQ Suki with their nightly Apsara dance show from 7.30pm is opposite the Angkor National Museum on the road to the temples. Now the folks at AngkorW are introducing the Champey Cooking Class, aimed at agency-booked guests, who will enjoy preparing and cooking traditional Khmer dishes at their own individual work station, beginning with an authentic market visit, and including a complimentary box of spices, dvd and recipe book for their twice a day classes, minimum of two people, maximum of thirty. And if you want a takeaway breakfast or lunchbox, that’s available too at Angkor Pic Nic. Pretty much a one-stop culinary empire in the making.
