Sotho Tan – Managing Director
 
Sotho Tan – Managing Director

Sotho established Hanuman back in 1990, in the early days of tourism, having worked as one of the first tour guides in post-war Cambodia. Fluent in French and English, she oversaw the transformation of Hanuman into the success story it is today. She remains actively involved, looking after the French and European markets. Her passion is the arts and Hanuman Fine Arts is a showcase for the finest collection of artefacts in Cambodia. She is also the inspiration behind HanumanAlaya, Angkor’s Boutique Residence.
 
 
Nick Ray – Company Advisor
 
Nick Ray – Company Advisor

After working as a journalist and tour leader, Nick hooked up with Lonely Planet in 1998 and has since worked on more than 30 guidebooks, including titles on Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. He also leads and lectures on tours for leading travel companies and organisations, including Young Presidents’ Organisation. He also works as a location scout and manager for the world of television and film, including Tomb Raider, Two Brothers, Top Gear Vietnam and countless documentaries for the BBC and National Geographic.
 
 
Kulikar Sotho – Executive Director
 
Kulikar Sotho – Executive Director

Kulikar's first job in travel was organizing 7500 United Nations peacekeepers in Cambodia in the early 1990s. Today she is Executive Director of Hanuman and oversees the continued growth of the company. She's also head of Hanuman Films and is involved in helping to produce feature films and documentaries in the Mekong Region, working as Line Producer for Tomb Raider and escorting Gordon Ramsay around Cambodia on his recent trip. In her spare time she runs her own retail clothing outlet, Kambuja, in partnership with an American designer, and looks after her two young children.
 
 
Laurent Loustau – French Market Manager
 
Laurent Loustau – French Market Manager

Born in Aix-en-Provence in southern France, Laurent moved with his family to California eight years later. During his teenage years, he returned to France to finish his studies and later settled on Reunion Island for more than 10 years. With a decade of experience in the travel industry and as a tour leader, he has travelled to various countries including South Africa, Madagascar, UAE, India, Thailand and Singapore. Thanks to some Khmer ancestory, he recently decided to return to Cambodia to rediscover his roots and contribute to the development of the country. Aside from work, Laurent loves dancing and practices LA salsa dance. He is also a lifetime supporter of l’Olympique de Marseille football team.
 
 
Khuon Daroeurn – Commercial and FIT Manager
 
Khuon Daroeurn – Commercial and FIT Manager

Daroeurn is celebrating a decade with the company this year, having joined us as an office assistant in July 2004. She was previously an Accounts Assistant in a garment factory, and has been in her current role for a year. A native of Mondulkiri Province in Northeast Cambodia, Daroeurn enjoys cooking, reading and watching television in her spare time.
 
 
Heng Pal – Sales Supervisor
 
Heng Pal – Sales Supervisor

Heng was born in 1984 in Prey Veng Province. He finished high school in 2004 and married in Phnom Penh in 2011. He started working with Hanuman Travel since 2011 and has worked his way up from Reservation Officer, Sales Consultant, Senior Sales Consultant to his current position as Sales Supervisor. Hanuman is now like his second home. Before working at Hanuman, Heng used to be a reservation officer at a French travel agency in Siem Reap and was a Reservation Officer at Bougainvillier Hotel in Phnom Penh.
Heng is passionate about travel and enjoys exploring Cambodia. His favourite places are ancient temples, distant mountains with waterfalls and lush forest with wildlife. He has also travelled to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to represent Hanuman at travel award ceremonies.
Heng likes swimming, Khmer Martial Arts and Chinese movies like The Three Kingdoms.
 
 
Sounly San – Operations Manager
 
Sounly San – Operations Manager

Sounly left his home of Prey Veng Province, 91km from Phnom Penh, about 10 years ago. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Hotel & Tourism Management in 2010 and had a great time at university. Sounly never studied English in a formal school, but has always seen his work place as a sort of English class, having previously worked in a leading hotel. Football is his passion and he loves to play as much as he can. Here at Hanuman Travel, Sounly enjoys working with a diverse group of people. He characterizes his life as eat, sleep, work and football.

Anthony Pham – IT Manager

Anthony must have been predestined to come in Cambodia, giving up his comfortable life in France, together with his family, as they decided to come to Asia to seek a more interesting experience. It is natural that he ended up in Cambodia, as this is where his wife is originally from. Anthony has been at Hanuman for more than one year and comes with considerable experience in the IT industry. He is currently in the midst of modernizing the IT infrastructure of the company.

Veasna Im - Operations Manager, Siem Reap

Veasna has been working with Hanuman for more than a year. He first worked as a Japanese and English Teacher from 2007. He then worked as an Adventure Tour Leader and Volunteer Coordinator until 2011. He then switched to work with a Japanese Tourism market company as a Tour Operator and Sales Coordinator until he moved to Hanuman. Veasna graduated in Tourism & Hospitality Management in 2013 from the University of Southeast Asia in Siem Reap. Born in Siem Reap in 1992, Veasna has grown up with the world heritage site of Angkor on his doorstep. He loves to play football during free time or after work and has played for more than 15 years. Veasna likes to travel in Northeastern Cambodia , as wants to know more about the lifestyle of the ethnic minority people who live here.

Cambodian Association of Travel Agents (CATA) and the Cambodian Community-based Ecotourism Network (CCBEN).
